One of Bangkok’s major parks, Benjakiti was built on the site of the relocated Thailand Tobacco Monopoly in commemoration of the Queen of Thailand.  Located adjacent to the Queen Sirikit Convention Center in the highly populated area of Sukhumvit, this urban park was planned to provide for a large range of recreational and cultural activities focused around the existing lake.
