P.L. Design provided complete landscape architectural design services for this large single housing development complex including main entrance statement & guardhouse, streetscape, community parks, garden pavilions, clubhouse architecture interface and swimming pool.
With the project location close by an important main road and Buddhist and Royal sites, the design concept aimed to reflect these values, particularly elements of traditional Buddhist architecture. Local cultural character of the site such as waterfront lifestyle along the areas many canals was also represented. Sculptural and lighting elements refer to time with bells and gongs integrated into the design, reminding residents of the gongs traditionally sounded by the temple in local communities for time keeping.
