With a design theme of ‘Oriental Chic’ Sareeraya combines elements of Thai and Chinese architecture found in Southern Thailand. Characteristic elements such as temple forms, open courtyards within buildings and lily pools were used to create a distinctively styled resort. At the beachfront an infinity edge swimming pool overlooks the sea. Distinctive temple inspired decorative walls frame the pool and bar. Existing coconut palms were maintained and a sculptural piece designed especially for the resort, represents ‘Sareeraya, the princess of water’, from the Thai mythology after which the resort was named.
