Nearby Mumbai’s Chatrapati Shivaji International Airport, the gardens of the hotel were styled to follow the British Colonial architecture style of old Bombay used for the building. Design of the hotel grounds also had the unique opportunity of simultaneous design of the adjacent public park in continuation with the hotel garden concept.  Formal axes and design elements such as fountain pools and sculpture were used to create gardens reminiscent of Victorian times. Tropical planting extrapolated the garden to an Asian context.
